"MIAD" Trip Ha.

The pier near my lake access inspired me to capture its beauty because the leading lines and the way that the pier was being looked at through a different point of view.

This photograph that I took inspired my because fall is a beautiful season and leaves are very vibrant and colorful.

The waves on the lake from the boat inspired me to do art work because I find movement to be very interesting and I really like the texture of the waves and how it looks like it's saturated, when it's really not.
I really thought that the scenery and the trees made the photograph  have more texture and form to it.

Most people think that sunsets are "over rated" or used a lot, but I feel like if you can photograph it with other objects and surroundings it can turn out beautiful. So I found that photographing the waves with the sunset could create a great use of space and value.
This is one of my favorite photos which makes me want to paint more and inspires me to attempt painting. I really thought that the use of color and the movement of the waves caused a very great effect.

All theses pictures were taken from MIAD and are planned on being used in the exhibit from October-July. Lastly, these photographs inspired me to attempt watercolors and drawing more.
This is by PJ Boylan and what I like about it is the composition and the positioning of the photograph captures the essence of the sunset. I feel like the photograph could have been taken a little bit closer but the rule of thirds is very strong and apparent in this photograph.

This is a painting by Anna Baer and I like how the use of value and space is very apparent. The color is also spectacular and the way that she illustrates the flowers are at a very different point of view, which makes the painting very attractive. I feel like some of the colors could have been changed, just because I don't like certain color combinations, but other than that it's very impressive.

This is a water color painting done by Kappy Schwab. I really like how the barn is being viewed from a different angle and the use in texture, with the watercolors, is amazing. I feel like there could have been more done with the background or more of a main focus - but this is something that I would love to hang on my wall at home.

August

Online Homework:

1. Portal Website
At this website I learned that you cannot post any photography taken by the person on any other website or use it in any way shape or form, so I cannot post what I wanted to. But the photographs I did see were very clear and interesting. I also realized that after browsing through this website I found myself bored out of my mind, except for when I was looking through the photography. As a photographer, I really would like to invest in purchasing a "nice" camera.

2. Wisconsin Arts Board
I was interested to see that on the website there was a poetry section, I honestly never thought that poetry could be considered art; and seeing that opened my mind to new things. I started writing again, which is why I haven't blogged in almost two weeks. And I have been focusing on the sketchbook, attempting to draw. I have basically pushed my photography out of the way for a certain amount of time to give it some space, and let my mind create new ideas to photograph.
Anyways, I also saw on the website that there were plenty of art programs or grants, that were suspended. Although I am not planning on majoring in anything that has to do with art, it still upsets me to see that so many things are being pushed away with it. Just like at school how some of the art programs are being cut. Also, my best friend said before she graduated, they cut a lot of art classes and now all they have is freshman art, a class for everything, and then they have an independent class but it's not open to any students; since there's not enough kids that take the class. The sad thing about her school too, is that there are no Advanced Placement Art classes.

3. Schollastic
This website made me wish that I was better at drawing! But I know that it is a talent that some people can learn, with patience. Except, I've mainly seen that it just kind of comes with you. I try at drawing but it's not as good as people that enjoy doing it. I also enjoyed seeing that there are teenagers that are motivated to share their artwork with others.

Art Work for August:

What a busy summer, literally. 34 hours of work every single week, which means 7 hour shifts for 5 days, and I had a maximum of two days off a week. Then, this month, I ended up finishing my AP English homework mainly. So I haven't been able to post many photographs. I did the online work, and I did take some photos but I focused mainly on points of view.

July 17-31

I started a new post because I was honestly sick and tired of having to move the pictures around and everything. So, from now on, I plan to make a new post for every two weeks or so. Possibly, a new post for whenever I throw a fit and feel like there's no organization.

Week 6 (July 17-24)
Mainly I focused on nature and life, I really enjoy photographing both of the two. There are a lot of photo's that I had taken that are of my cat and of the outside area of my apartment. I always thought that there weren't beautiful things nearby and that I had to travel for beauty. But I just went outside and there was actually life, it was surprising. But, let's go!

I love this picture because that black and white, the angle, and the expression of my cat just all flow together and give that feeling of sorrow or sadness.

For once, my cat looks majestic.

The dramatic effect of this photograph just gives me the chills.

I love my kitty! She looks so sad. :(

I like the colors in this photo and the texture (like always)

The view outside my apartment.

Overall, I've always enjoyed photographing the texture of most objects. I also think that my photography is unique because I tend to go on different angles and have different perspectives of the object being photograph.

Week 7 (July 25-31)
This week has been pretty stressful. I've had so much to do with so little time. Luckily, I went to Ashippun to visit my boyfriend's family and they happened to live on a farm so I had the opportunity to take some pictures in an area where I would have never traveled to alone.
