"MIAD" Trip Ha.

The pier near my lake access inspired me to capture its beauty because the leading lines and the way that the pier was being looked at through a different point of view.

This photograph that I took inspired my because fall is a beautiful season and leaves are very vibrant and colorful.

The waves on the lake from the boat inspired me to do art work because I find movement to be very interesting and I really like the texture of the waves and how it looks like it's saturated, when it's really not.
I really thought that the scenery and the trees made the photograph  have more texture and form to it.

Most people think that sunsets are "over rated" or used a lot, but I feel like if you can photograph it with other objects and surroundings it can turn out beautiful. So I found that photographing the waves with the sunset could create a great use of space and value.
This is one of my favorite photos which makes me want to paint more and inspires me to attempt painting. I really thought that the use of color and the movement of the waves caused a very great effect.

All theses pictures were taken from MIAD and are planned on being used in the exhibit from October-July. Lastly, these photographs inspired me to attempt watercolors and drawing more.
This is by PJ Boylan and what I like about it is the composition and the positioning of the photograph captures the essence of the sunset. I feel like the photograph could have been taken a little bit closer but the rule of thirds is very strong and apparent in this photograph.

This is a painting by Anna Baer and I like how the use of value and space is very apparent. The color is also spectacular and the way that she illustrates the flowers are at a very different point of view, which makes the painting very attractive. I feel like some of the colors could have been changed, just because I don't like certain color combinations, but other than that it's very impressive.

This is a water color painting done by Kappy Schwab. I really like how the barn is being viewed from a different angle and the use in texture, with the watercolors, is amazing. I feel like there could have been more done with the background or more of a main focus - but this is something that I would love to hang on my wall at home.

  1. I am good friends with Ann Baer. How fun that you chose one of her paintings to write about. I like her sense of color.
